Apple has launched a new Instagram account over the weekend, which happened to coincide with one of the most anticipated script releases this year: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
A new era of tech events has begun
We’re back in New York this November for the 4th edition of our growth-focused technology event.
The @iBooks account mostly consists of quotes from books and authors – which is awesome if you’re one of those Instagrammers who live and die by inspirational sayings (we all have one of those friends on our feeds.) iBooks tease both upcoming and new releases, alongside miniature book reviews and generic promotional shots of people reading. Each book is advertised in a series of three Instagram posts.
“I believe that a good storyteller is using fiction to give life to a truth, whether about relationships, or people, or social dynamics. In that way, the story is not a lie at all, but rather a vehicle to explore things that are very real.” — #WendyWalker #AllIsNotForgotten
You can tell that Apple’s truly caught the Harry Potter fever though: both its iTunes and iBooks account feature profile links to the Cursed Child script download page and videos honoring author J.K. Rowling’s birthday.
